Meet our consultants

Steven Yeo

Steven has spent more than 24 years working with multi-national corporations and non-profit organisations.

Steven was the EVP for DHR International in 2014 and The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) saw Steven as the Vice President and Executive Director, who boosted the society’s capabilities, and building up its branding and community. He was also the General Manager for HIMSS Analytics in Asia Pacific and the Middle East from 2008 to 2014, establishing HIMSS as the global leader in the use of IT Management Systems for the betterment of healthcare delivery.

Steven has successfully assessed more than 1,000 hospitals using the HIMSS Analytics EMRAM (EMR Adoption Model).

Prior to HIMSS, Steven was the Director of Intel Corporation for 10 years, managing its e-Business Group and Digital Health Group within the Asia Pacific region.

Apart from his MBA from the National University of Singapore, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors from Dalhousie University, Canada.


Dr Colin Quek

Colin has more than 20 years of experience in the Healthcare and IT industries. Having an extensive background in the public and private sectors, Colin offers good knowledge and appreciation of the demands and needs of the healthcare industry.

In Singapore, he has served as Chief Information Officer in National Healthcare Group, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Raffles Medical Group. In India, he led a software development team for a Singapore Healthcare IT software company.


Dr Kate Lazarenko

Dr Kate Lazarenko is founder and director of Health Industry Matters Pte. Ltd., a boutique consulting firm focused on creating customised solutions that address unique needs of clients across the health industry ecosystem. Kate holds a PhD in health information systems from Monash University, Australia and was an adjunct Research Fellow post her doctorate. Apart from academia, Kate worked for the government-funded authority supporting a national vision for digital health for Australia (National E-Health Transition Authority), management consulting (PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore) and health IT industry. Kate is passionate about exploring ways in which companies can foster innovation in order to create better services and products. She worked with a number of hospitals, polyclinics and health IT vendors in Singapore and Australia, and her main areas of expertise are patient-centred design, technology and digital.


Divya Mehta

Divya Mehta is a founder and Consulting Director of Health Industry Matters Pte. Ltd., a boutique consulting firm dedicated to providing hands on consulting services to health industry players. Divya spent over four years with PwC Singapore and nearly four years with Deloitte Canada, where she provided professional services to a number of health industry players, such as governments; healthcare providers; biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, and was instrumental in building health industry practices. Divya holds Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences, and has extensive experience in working with senior stakeholders in both public and private sectors, in strategy as well as operations.


Gautam Ramnath

Gautam Ramnath is a Senior International Consultant focused on the development of innovations at the nexus of emerging markets development, shared value, impact investment, inclusive business, supply and distribution chain reinforcement, sustainable technologies, and intelligent corporate social responsibility. With both public and private sector based international clientele, Mr Ramnath focuses his work on leveraging and linking the strengths of each sector for increased market capture and greater collective impact while ensuring the sustainability of the communities in which organisations work.


D. Michelle Thai, M.D.

Dr Thai is concurrently the Regional Network Chair of the Singapore-based Patient Safety Movement Foundation, Adjunct/Affiliated Faculty member at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology, Advisor at ACCESS Health International, Course Director for Pain Management & Rehabilitation Faculty at the University of California, Co-Founder and Management Director at MediZen Advanced Imaging, Inc. and a Medical Doctor in the Orthopedic and Spinal Cord Injury Rehab Centre at St Jude Medical Centre in California. She is also involved in various projects such as the Early Rehab in Intensive Care Unit Pilot at the St Jude Medical Centre, Stay Young Navigator Pilot at ACCESS Health International (Singapore), Patient Safety and Physician Leadership at Duke NUS (Vietnam) and Neuroscience Courses for Medical Students in Vietnam Pilot at Duke NUS. Dr Michelle Thai obtained her medical degree at the University of California.
